Terms

website.show is operated by a private individual resident in Argentina (“we”, “us”). These Terms are an agreement between you and us. By creating an account, submitting a listing, paying, or displaying our badge, you accept them. Our Privacy Policy, the submission rules on the submit page and the checking rules on the badge page form part of these Terms.

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract. If you act for a company, you confirm you are authorised to accept these Terms on its behalf.

website.show is a directory of software products. Makers submit a listing; a person reviews it; approved listings get a public page with a link to the maker’s site.

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We aim to review every listing within 24 hours, but review times are a target, not a guarantee.

You sign in with your Google account. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to it secure.

Each listing also has a private management link, sent by email. Anyone who has that link can see and manage the listing, so do not share it.

By submitting a listing, you confirm that:

• you own the product and the site, or are authorised to represent them;
• everything you submit is accurate, not misleading, and does not infringe anyone’s rights or break any law;
• you have the right to use every image you upload.

We refuse listings that are:

• Not a software product people can use: a portfolio, an agency or services site, a blog post, a listicle, a parked domain.
• Spam, malware, phishing, adult content, gambling, or a scam.
• A listing that doesn't match the site, including a tag the site clearly contradicts.
• A listing that isn't written in English.

We do not judge quality, taste or novelty. We may still refuse or remove a listing that breaks these Terms or the law, that the site’s owner or a court asks us to remove, or that we reasonably believe exposes website.show, its users or anyone else to harm. Submitting does not entitle you to a listing.

We use automated tools, including AI models run by third parties, to check submissions against the rules and, when you ask, to draft listing text from your site. Drafts can be wrong; you are responsible for everything you submit. Automated checks can refuse a submission straight away, with the reason shown; if you think a refusal is wrong, email us and a person will look at it. A person reviews every listing before it is published.

By submitting, you allow us to access your site’s public pages automatically: when you submit, to find your site’s icon, daily while you use the badge option, and weekly to check that your link still leads to a working site.

You keep ownership of what you submit. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, resize, reformat, publish and display it in the directory and in material that promotes website.show, including our newsletter and social media posts, and to let our service providers do this for us.

The licence ends when your listing is removed, except for backups kept for a limited time and for newsletters or posts already published. Search engines, archives and AI systems may keep their own copies of public pages; we do not control those copies.

Each published listing links to your site. Whether that link is followed (dofollow) or not (nofollow) depends on the option you choose and on the rules below. It is not otherwise for sale.

• Badge. Free. The link is followed while our badge is on your homepage. We check daily. Three missed checks in a row switch the link to nofollow; fourteen archive the listing. The exact rules are on the badge page. Showing the badge only to our checker, or hiding it from visitors, counts as not showing it.
• Paid. $12 once. The link is followed without the badge. See the next section.
• Nofollow. Free. The link is never followed.

Whatever the option, including paid, we switch a link to nofollow if your site goes offline, becomes a parked or for-sale domain, redirects elsewhere, changes into something that breaks the submission rules, or is flagged as unsafe. We may also archive the listing.

You may display our badge unchanged, linking to https://www.website.show. We may withdraw that permission, and the badge and the rest of this site’s design, code and name remain ours.

The price is shown before you pay. It is a one-time fee with no renewal. A later price change never affects a payment already made.

The fee buys one thing: a followed link without the badge, for as long as your listing is published and website.show operates the directory, subject to the rules in the previous section. It does not buy approval, placement, ranking, a label, or faster review. Paid listings look and sort exactly like free ones.

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record: it takes the payment, issues the receipt, and handles sales tax and VAT. Its own terms also apply to the payment. We never see your card details.

If we discontinue the directory, paid links end with it. We will try to give 30 days’ notice by email.

• Rejected after payment: full refund. You do not need to ask.
• Before your listing is published: full refund on request.
• After it is published with the paid link active, the service has been provided and the fee is not refundable, except where the law requires otherwise. This includes a link later switched to nofollow, or a listing removed, under these Terms.

By paying, you ask us to start providing the service straight away, and you acknowledge that once your listing is published you lose any statutory right to withdraw, to the extent the law allows.

To request a refund, email hello@website.show from the address you paid with. Refunds go back to the original payment method through Dodo Payments.

If a payment is refunded or charged back, the paid link ends and the listing falls back to the badge rules or a nofollow link. If you dispute a payment with your bank instead of contacting us, we may pause the listing while the dispute is open.

Do not:

• submit sites or products you do not represent;
• use scripts or other automated means to submit listings or to call our forms and endpoints, apart from loading the badge image;
• try to get around rate limits, review, or badge checks;
• probe, test or interfere with the security of our systems;
• modify our badge, or use it to suggest an endorsement we did not give;
• use the service to harass, deceive or harm anyone.

If you own a site listed here and want the listing removed, email hello@website.show from an address on that domain, or from any address if you can otherwise show ownership. We remove the listing and its images within 72 hours and, if you ask, block the domain from future submission. No reason is needed.

If you believe something here infringes your copyright or trademark, email the same address with: what the work or mark is, where it appears on website.show, your contact details, and a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised. We remove material that we believe infringes and may ask the submitter to respond.

Listings describe products made by others. We do not verify their claims, endorse them, or take responsibility for them, their sites, or anything you agree with their makers. You visit listed sites at your own risk.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure.

Search engines decide for themselves how to treat links. We do not guarantee that any page or link will be crawled, indexed, followed or valued by Google or anyone else, or any ranking, traffic, domain rating, sales or other outcome. The domain rating we display is a third-party estimate and changes over time. We decide which of our pages are open to search indexing.

To the fullest extent the law allows:

• we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, search rankings or traffic;
• our total liability for all claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 50.

These limits do not apply where the law does not allow them, such as to liability for intent or gross negligence.

You will compensate us for claims, losses and reasonable costs, including legal fees, that arise from what you submit, from your site or product, or from your breach of these Terms, to the extent the law allows.

We may suspend or close an account, or remove a listing, that breaks these Terms, without notice where the breach is serious. You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account and listings by email.

Sections about your content, no guarantees, limitation of liability, indemnity, and law and disputes continue to apply after your use ends.

We may change these Terms. We will post the new version here and update the date above. For a change that materially affects paid listings, we will also email the owners at least 14 days before it takes effect. Using the service after a change takes effect means you accept it.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Argentine Republic. Before starting any proceedings, please email us and give us 30 days to try to resolve the issue. Disputes will be heard by the competent courts of the Argentine Republic.

If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms takes away rights that the mandatory law of your country of residence gives you, including the right to bring proceedings in its courts.

These Terms, together with the documents they refer to, are the whole agreement between you and us about the service. If a court finds part of them unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up.

We may transfer these Terms, and your listing, to anyone who takes over website.show. You may not transfer them without our consent. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control. We may contact you by email at the address on your account or listing. These Terms are written in English, and the English version prevails over any translation.
