Site check for AI search

How your homepage reads to AI assistants and search engines: fifteen checks, a score out of 100 and what to fix first. The same check every product listed on website.show carries on its page. Free, with no sign-up.

What it checks

Seven checks for AI assistants, worth 57% of the score: whether AI crawlers may read the site, structured data, a clearly stated purpose, text that does not need JavaScript, dated content, questions and answers, and llms.txt.

Eight checks for search engines, worth 43%: whether the page can be indexed, its title, meta description, main heading, canonical address, sitemap, link previews and image descriptions.

We read four files, the homepage, robots.txt, llms.txt and sitemap.xml, as WebsiteShowBot. No AI model is involved, so the same page always gets the same result.

What it does not measure

Whether ChatGPT, Claude or Perplexity actually mention your product. The check measures what lets them read and understand your homepage, which comes first, and says nothing about rankings or recommendations. A site we cannot load gets no score at all rather than a low one.

For the crawler rules alone, use the AI crawler checker; to write them, the robots.txt generator.
